Hey, it's a new month...HELP, I need new ideas

Hello,
Well, I'm another year older this week, maybe a little wiser. We have been so busy registering new students for classes at Ozarks Technical Community College. There is a lot of money right now for unemployed people to attend school. I hope all these people take advantage of this once in a lifetime chance to get their education paid for.
Today, we celebrated Devon's birthday. We went to Danna's BQ down by Fall Creek Steak House. Oh, man is their food good. We both had monster hamburgers.
The latest thing I've been working on is making crochet soap bags. I put my lavender soap in the bags and you can get great lather and have a nice scrubbie at the same time. The yarn is soft enough they can be used for babies with baby soap as well. My creative juices have shut down for the moment. Does anyone have some new ideas for items that they are not seeing out there anywhere?
Yeah, I'm on vacation next week, I have so much that I want to get accomplished, let's see how much I really get done.

Mona's News

I can't believe it's been so long since I've checked in. I've been crocheting scrubbies, baby hats, working in my garden, I have a bunch of green beans to pick this weekend. I'm hoping to have some new potatoes to go with them. YUM! Rick and I went to Kansas City, Mo. last weekend and got to see a lot of my family. It was so good to visit and catch up a little with each one. I got to hold Cori and Mylie's new baby. There's nothing better than getting to rock a new baby. They are such a blessing from God.
We got a boat a couple of weeks ago, I'm really looking forward to taking it to the lake. Catching fish would be good, but I enjoy just riding and looking at the scenery.
I have a bunch of new pictures to add for show and tell. I'll try to get them on in the next couple of days. Doesn't sound like I'm trying to sell to much merchandise, does it? Well, I'm working on it. I just finished this adorable little girls hat. It's lavender with cream trim and has the cutest pansy on it. I'm at work and it's time to go home.

Trying to catch up

I'm back!!!!!!!
Well, I was taking a math class so I had to spend my time studing so I could pass the class. I passed.... I'm going to use my time this summer making new crochet and knit items. I've created a new diaper cover, it's made with the seed stitch. Also, I have been working on baby wash clothes and burpie towels. I made a spa wash cloth out of 100 % cotton and I decided to use it myself. Well, I love it. I think I will make several and try to sell them on Etsy. I have a lot of new pictures on my camera, I will download them before to long and post some pictures. Another big event in my family is my grand-childrens birthdays. Ethan, Aidan and Bridgett all on the same weekend. Wow, I don't have time to work.

Well, I've been slacking on my blog news. I'm taking a math class, and it's had to be my priority. I have been crocheting alot and I have a few items in my Etsy store. If you would like to check them out, you can click on the Etsy button and it will take you right to my store. I will add some new items in a couple of days. I have swim suits and jumpers on my mind for summer now, so check back every once in awhile and see what's new, if nothing works now. I have a new diaper cover that is pretty cool, it will stand up by itself. The color is a spring green and has ivory trim. Pictures soon.
I would love some ideas about what is the going items that people purchase. I'm making my grand-daughter a hat now, it is in bold bright colors. I'll add more news later.

Catching Up

Hello everyone, I'm behind on my crochet and knitting news. I have my Etsy site up and running. I have to figure out how to draw people in to look at it. I have a lot to learn. It is pretty interesting though. Wow, there are so many nice things that are being sold. It will keep me on my toes to compete with all the nice items. This little hat started out being a pilot hat, and I added the ruffles for a little girl! This hat goes with the diaper cover at the bottom of this post.

Another wool diaper cover, in a different pattern. This was my first time to make this pattern. So this 'soaker will be sold at a discount. "Mine" is a word we hear often while the little ones are developing their playing skills. I thought some lettering would be nice.

The hot pink below is the same pattern. Can you tell I love bright colors

This is a diaper cover that I made, I added the stripe to the pattern. This is 100% wool, and is used as a "soaker" instead of using plastic diapers.

Hello,
I sent my first babyBUTTons order today and had a happy customer. I will be showing pictures soon. I know, everyone wants to see, this is the show-me state. I got a new camera today also, so I can take my own pictures. ( Of course, they won't be as good as Amy's). My first order was for a diaper cover "soaker" and a girly pilot hat. I'm working on another pilot hat, it will be for a boy or a girl. The color is oatmeal, so anyone can wear it. I'm working on these wild baby pants. They are pear green, hot pink and fushia. I have to design a onesy that will go will these pants. Again, I'll try to get a picture on here in the next few days. Well, back to crocheting or maybe knitting. I go back and forth.

Hello,

I've decided to get on the bloggers band wagon. My daughter Amy talked me into crocheting and knitting diaper covers or some people know them as "soakers". So I have yarn all over my living room. I have been knitting and crocheting like crazy making diaper covers and hats. Also, I start making one thing and end up turning it into something else. I started to make leggings and ended up making a hat out of it. Then this morning I was going to crochet an Easter egg to put on the butt of a diaper cover and it ended up being a hat. Sounds like my brain thinks that I need to be making hats. Huh!!!
